National Center of Quality Inspection and Testing on Building and Decoration  Materials is an authoritative inspection agency of product inspection, quality inspection of household decoration, indoor air quality inspection, standard establishment and revision, R&D of testing equipment and scientific research.

The center is the designated quality testing agency for inspecting national artificial boards (including all kinds of floor) and painting products production licenses issuing. It has also signed with CQC (water conservation certification) and has been accredited as Fenestration Energy Efficiency Performance Labeling Laboratory by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China （MOHURD）.

The center also plays a main role in establishing and amending domestic building hardware standards as Inspection Center of National Architectural Hardware Standardization. It owns nearly hundreds of advanced inspecting equipment, namely Xenon lamp artificial-accelerating climate instrument, Pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectrometer, Computer-controlling electro-hydraulic universal testing machine, computer-controlling pressure-withstand tubular product bursting testing machine, Constant temperature tap inspecting device, half of which are imported.

Inspection Capabilities

The testing capabilities cover: daily hardware, plumbing sanitary ware, windows and doors, decorative hardware, nail, net, iron wire, tool hardware, locks, wood, wood products, building materials, cement, stone, tiles, waterproof roll, building insulation materials, energy saving building materials and relevant building engineering, construction environment, purification, interior decoration, glass, pipes, painting, pigment, adhesive, limitation of harmful substance, steel bars, on-off devices, electric wires, plugs and sockets, covering more than 80% decoration materials.

Scientific & Technological innovations

The center has actively participated in establishing and revising dozens of national and industrial architectural hardware standards, as well as wood’s standards. It has undertaken “thermostatic faucets testing machine design and research” project which has successfully obtained patent for utility model.
