On April 9, SQI held and hosted the online video seminar of the working group on mattress test methods (WG7) of ISO / TC 136 Furniture Technical Committee. 20 international experts from 6 countries including China, Italy, Britain, France, Sweden and Belgium attended the meeting.

On the meeting, experts conducted in-depth discussion on the text and feedback of the draft international standard (DIS) ISO 23769 Methods for Measuring the Functional Characteristics of Furniture Mattresses which is undertaken by China and communicated the key issues such as the scope of application of the standard, the specific sequence of rolling and edge durability test methods and the language expression of appearance inspection. After discussion, It was agreed that the project should be submitted to the ISO / TC 136 Secretariat and the final draft international standard (FDIS) voting should be started after one week of group circulation.

As the convener and Secretary of WG7, SQI has further accumulated experience in coordinating the technical opinions of experts at home and abroad, controlling the process of International Conference remotely and skillfully applying ISO electronic tools and ISO / IEC editing rules. It has a positive practical significance for China to undertake more leading positions in international furniture standardization and promote the "going out" of China''''s standards in the future.
