On July 14 to 15, the seminar on the application of R-PET in food contact packaging materials held by Unilever and Shanghai Food Contact Materials Association. SQI was invited to attend the seminar and make a report.

On the meeting, person in charge of Institute of Quality Inspection of Light Industry and Chemical Products introduced the standardization promotion work of SQI on PET recycling and regeneration and shared the latest research achievements. The Unilever introduced their sustainable development plan of plastics recycling and the application of R-PET in daily chemical packaging. The attendants discussed around risk substances in R-PET and the risk assessment plan for the application of R-PET in food contact packaging materials and decided to establish a joint research group on recycled PET for food contact materials to promote the development of R-PET for food contact materials and help the sustainable development of society with green environmental protection.
